What Does A Great Marketing Agency Do?
Dave Christie - 09.03.2023
Without talented staff, a Cheshire business is more likely to fail. Recruiting the right staff is not easy, but it starts with a strategic approach.
First, identify the exact role that needs filling and create an image of the ideal candidate for the job. Ask existing staff for their views on the sort of person they want to work with. Write a job description that includes an outline of your company culture and what makes your workplace special, in order to try and attract the right candidates.
Decide whether you want to use a recruitment agency or handle the recruitment process in-house. Carrying out the process internally will mean extra work for you and your existing team, but will give you more control over the entire process to find the candidate you most desire.
Review previous applicants for jobs in the business who may have increased their skill set and added valuable work experience to their CV.
Find someone who is both good at the job and good with people. If they cannot have a good relationship with other employees or clients, there’s a good chance they’re not the right person.
The existing staff may know someone that is good for the job, so it could be worth asking them for any of their recommendations.
Hiring top staff is one of many challenges that entrepreneurs face. For help on this and any other business issues, talk to us at Cheshire Business Coaching today.
